SensoDetect was founded in Lund 2005, based on more than 30 years of research.
Starting in the early 1980’s, the field of clinical psychoacoustics has been studied in the Department of Neuroscience at Lund University. Early on, priority was given to psychoacoustic investigations regarding schizophrenia, one of the most devastating psychiatric diseases. A common symptom of schizophrenia is disturbed auditory perceptions such as sound hallucinations and inconstancy phenomena. Early on, investigations were focused on categorization of the schizophrenic disease based on its psychophysiological aberrations.
Several other clinical groups have been investigated and the founders of SensoDetect have shown that psychiatric patient groups can be distinguished based on how they perceive sound structures.
SensoDetect aims at pioneering neuropsyciatric research through the use of our patented SensoDetect-BERA technology. We always look for collaborations with researchers and clinicians sharing our vision.
